Living in Belgium, has given us the opportunity to explore numerous places of well-being in Europe. However, there is a place that has gained a special space in our weekend: Macho Sauna in Brussels.

Unforgettable discovery

I clearly remember a rainy Saturday in November (three years ago) when we decided to visit Macho Sauna for the first time. Natkin already knew the place and encouraged me to accompany him (it should be noted that I do not welcome the idea at first because of the stigma of visiting a sauna and more on couple ... that's silly). Since we crossed its discreet entrance in the Rue du Marché au Charbon 106, we knew that we were about to live a unique experience.

However, Macho Sauna in Brussels excels for its impeccable cleanliness, organization, and quality of facilities. From the moment we crossed its doors, it is obvious the care that the staff puts in to maintain a hygienic environment and welcoming. The common areas, such as the Finnish sauna, the steam bath and jacuzzi, are always in optimal conditions, which allows us to relax with total confidence. In addition, the distribution of the space facilitates a seamless experience and pleasant, surpassing in many aspects to other saunas that we have known in our trips.

• An aromatic steam bath to 45-50 °C, with natural essences that vary on a weekly basis.

Ticket prices vary depending on the age and the day of the week:

• General (+30): 30 €
• Under 30 years: 25 €
• Thursday: 25 €
• Annual subscription: 1.800 €.
• Rate of readmission (within 4 hours): 10 €. Except weekends and special events.

In addition, they offer a loyalty card: for every 9 innings paid, the tenth is free.

The opening times are:

• Monday to Thursday: 12:00 – 00:00.
• Weekend (Friday 12:00 – Sunday 00:00): open 24 hours.

Our personal experience

We tend to visit Macho Sauna Sundays from noon, is one of the most active of the week in the sauna. . We alternate between the dry sauna, the steam bath and jacuzzi, interspersed with cold showers and breaks on the terrace if the weather allows. These moments allow us to disconnect from the daily stress and strengthen our connection as a couple, in addition to socialize and prepare for the first day of the work week. Tips for the First Visit

In our visits to Macho Sauna, we have noticed the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all. It is fundamental to remember that the consumption of drugs is strictly prohibited on the premises, and their use may result in the immediate expulsion and prohibition of entry during six months.

It is essential to treat the team with courtesy and consideration at all, because his dedication is key to the operation, and the welcoming atmosphere of the place.

Despite the fact that some of us have questioned about what we do in the sauna as a couple (I still don't understand why!), the reality is that we feel incredibly welcome and comfortable in Macho Sauna.
